The Bible says that there is only one way to heaven
"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me (John 14:6)."
The following is what God's Word says from the book of Romans about how you can receive God's free gift of salvation and know for sure that you are going to heaven.
The Romans Road:
No one can be good enough.
"As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one (Romans 3:10-12)."
Everyone is a sinner.
"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23)."
"Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned (Romans 5:12)."
Eternal death is the penalty for our sin.
"For the wages of sin is death... (Romans 6:23)."
You cannot save yourself.
"Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight... (Romans 3:20)."
God's love has provided a way!
"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him (Romans 5:8-9)."
You must place your complete faith in Jesus Christ.
"Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance? (Romans 2:4)."
"Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference... (Romans 3:22)."
"Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law (Romans 3:28)."
"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved (Romans 10:9)."
Pray and accept Christ as your Savior today!
"For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved (Romans 10:10-13)."
Example Prayer
The following prayer itself does not save you. Christ saves you. Has has done for you what you could not do for yourself. Please pray something similar to this if you will accept Christ.
Dear God, I admit that I am a sinner on my way to hell. I know that I cannot save myself. I now turn from my sins and put my faith in the blood that you shed for me on the cross to pay for all my sins. I now accept you as my Savior and trust you to take me to heaven. Thank you for saving me. Amen.
If you have accepted Christ as your Savior please email the pastor and let him know so that we can rejoice with you and offer you help in growing as a Christian.
